Smartson leads the consortium of experts, ensuring the delivery of innovative, data-driven solutions and actionable insights that inform policy and business decisions. He has previously worked at the Economic Policy Research Centre (EPRC), Uganda's leading economic and policy research think tank as well as at the Makerere University School of Public Health, Kyambogo University, RTI International (Uganda) and Bank of Africa Uganda Ltd, serving in different capacities.
